Cascarones for Easter!
One thing that always brings me joy around Easter time — Cascarones!
Cascarones: confetti filled eggs.
In Spanish, cascara means “egg shell.”
Growing up in San Antonio, Texas, I have vivid memories of running around with these confetti filled Easter eggs. I still like to smash cascarones on my friend’s heads… it’s said to bring good luck! :)
Cascarones are a mexican tradition that I hope to never outgrow.
Last year my mom sent me cascarones for Easter. I loved the gift SO MUCH that I decided to save half of the cascarones for this year’s Easter. Keep them in mind for next year’s festivities - they are a lot of fun to make yourself!
Happy Easter everyone!
