I recently purchased, “Ogilvy on Advertising,” a book that was published in 1985!
I find it remarkably interesting that Ogilvy managed to keep the content relevant. I have learned a lot by looking back to the beginning of brands, like Dove. There are fundamentals of advertising that Ogilvy illustrates that will hold true indefinitely.
For example, “Sell or else,” is an infamous quote of David’s.
It’s one of those must read books for anyone interested in advertising.
Contrary to what some may think, Advertising is NOT dead.
In fact, it is stronger than ever.
I’m eager to start my career in this exciting and ever-changing industry.
